RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Research & Data Analysis
-Support research, assessments, and comparative analyses on social insurance schemes (EII, UI, maternity, sickness, etc.) in Bangladesh and other similar economies.
-Collect, analyze, and interpret labour market and social protection data.
Contribute to feasibility and actuarial studies, financial modelling, and sustainability projections.
B. Policy & Technical Documentation
-Draft policy briefs, technical papers, reports, and presentations for MoLE and development partners.
-Maintain an up-to-date knowledge repository on social protection reforms, including legislation, studies, and global good practices.
-Document existing institutional mechanisms and future projections for institutional arrangements of social security for workers.
C. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
-Develop and maintain a results framework to track progress on UIS, EII, and other schemes.
-Support preparation of progress reports for Stake holders(Example INGO )
D. Stakeholder Coordination
-Provide technical support for workshops, consultations, and training programs.
-Prepare concept notes, presentations, and other documents for sharing with stakeholders
-Document outcomes and lessons learned from policy dialogues and pilots.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education/training: • master’s degree in economics, Statistics, Social Policy, Public Administration, or related field.
- Language skills: Business fluency in English and Bangla
General professional experience:
- At least 3–5 years of experience in policy research, social protection, or labour market analysis.
-Prior experience working with government institutions or development partners preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
-Strong analytical and quantitative research skills.
-Excellent drafting and documentation skills.
-Proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools (e.g., STATA, SPSS, R).
